LGBT Spiritual Growth Group

We are growing and changing! The LGBT Spiritual Growth Group (formerly known as The Quest Group) has a new identity, new mission and vision statements, and a new leader!

Vision: Supportive Community honoring each one's spiritual path.

Mission: Creating safety for discussion and exploration of self and spirituality through education, service and social activities.

We welcome back Donna Kopitsky as our leader. Donna led the group when it was originally formed in 2001. As a Licensed Unity Teacher and facilitator of The Beloved Community at Unity Church, Donna is also a Reiki Master, Ko-laim-ni teacher, and Theta Healing Practitioner. She is currently enrolled in the Interfaith Seminary and will be ordained in June 2010. She has done many Unity-based classes for Unity Church of Harrisburg and brings her spiritual diversity to both Unity Church and the group.

The LGBT Spiritual Growth Group was meeting twice a month last year. Our meetings covered such topics as “Discovering Your Energy Profile” and we held dinners and movies from the Spiritual Cinema Circle. Beginning in January 2010, the LGBT Spiritual Growth Group will be meeting ONCE a month on the second Friday at 6:30PM. We will have dinner and a movie from the Spiritual Cinema Circle or dinner and a presentation of various spiritual topics. The dinners will be potlucks, so we invite you to bring your favorite dish and a friend.

Look for the Labryinth Café on Saturday, March 13 at 6:30PM with Janie Womack and Julie Lowery providing the music. Join us for an evening of good food, great music and wonderful friendships. Come in from the cold and enjoy the warmth of the Labryinth Café.
